When your silo product needs to be protected from outside elements during shipment, our Covered Dome fleet can get the job done. Covered Dome trailers are designed to be loaded by a silo or belt from the top, similar to a pneumatic trailer, but unload by gravity through an 18-inch opening at the bottom, typically on a drive-over grate. Common uses for this type of trailer include roofing granules, sand, salt and other fine aggregates. These trailers are very light and allow for capacities up to 28 tons.

Each driver at Dalton Trucking holds a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential), which means they have passed a strict government background check and are cleared to enter any U.S. seaport, airport, or rail terminal.
